Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Garden Maintenance operative to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces through a variety of horticultural tasks. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in gardening and landscape care, with practical experience in garden upkeep. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the horticulture industry, working in a dynamic environment that values professionalism and attention to detail. Driving Licence preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out routine garden maintenance tasks, including pruning, trimming, planting, and weeding.
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas.
- Assist with the planting of new flora, including shrubs, flowers, and trees, ensuring proper placement and soil preparation.
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, aerating soil, and applying fertilisers or pesticides as required.
- Monitor plant health and growth, identifying pests or diseases early and taking appropriate action.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by clearing debris, leaves, and waste materials from gardens and pathways.
- Collaborate with team members to plan seasonal garden enhancements and improvements.
Experience
- Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with horticultural principles and practices is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, as well as power tools like hedge trimmers and lawnmowers.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is desirable.
- Growing experience or background in horticulture will be considered a strong asset.

Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
